Photographs

Most of the photos on this site were taken with a Nikon Coolpix 2500. It has only 2.0 megapixels, but I find that plenty for shooting for the web. It has a 3x optical zoom, with a range of 34mm to 111mm.

I added an extra battery so that I rarely run out of juice, and two extra memory cards, a 128 megabyte & a 256 megabyte, allowing me to shoot nearly 2000 photos before downloading to my computer. (On my 2003 trip to Hawaii, I shot 1373 photos!)

My wife and I volunteer time with the University of Oregon's Friendship Foundation. In 2002-2003 we had the honor of being the host family for three young Japanese women students. In 2003-2004, a young woman from France was our guest. View photos of their visit with us.
