Mildred Rosenstiel was the youngest of three sisters, her sisters Mary and Susan have their stories briefly told in the years they graduated.
Mildred graduated from FHS in 1907 and Baylor University. She did her graduate studies in Social Work at the University of Chicago.
After WWI, she worked with the Red Cross in Poland as a child welfare worker.
Later, while she was working as the director of the Women's Occupational Bureau in Minneapolis, she was diagnosed with a lung tumor. The Mayo Clinic experimented on her with radiation. The massive dose shrunk the tumor, but burned major holes in her chest and back. She became an invalid. Her family cared for her until her death 12 years later.
